We thank God for our church and for Pastor Smith. Pastor Smith has taught us so much about living a Christian life pleasing unto our Heavenly Father and having a daily walk with God. We have been taught the importance of spiritual warfare and praying against the wiles of the devil along with the battle we face daily in our Christian lives.
I am very thankful to have a pastor that devotes his life and gives every day to help lead and guide Harvest Baptist and to be an example. Through the Bible College I was able to earn my associates degree and learn great lessons on being a servant of the Lord. The Bible College is growing each year and is tuition free. Brother Gil Anger from Australia has been able to open our eyes to the great needs in the world for missions. Brother Anger and his wife stay busy year round traveling to third and fourth world countries training nationals and seeing areas that still have no gospel witness. He reports to churches in America and Australia to inform where our missionaries are needed most. It is sad to think more than 70 countries still do not have any Baptist missionaries or gospel preachers.
It was through Brother Anger that the Lord showed me the need for Madagascar. Nearly half the world has still not heard the good news that Jesus Christ suffered and died for their sins and arose three days later. There are many areas a person can serve in the mission field short term and long term. Money should never be an issue if you are willing to go. God bless
